A Little Bit More...

Tanglefoot Ranch Event Center

So fast, easy, and just plain great! Grover’s Shrimp has been one of our family favorites for years.

  1. Thaw & peel prawn

  2. Heat a George Foreman grill to medium

  3. Butter bottom half of grill

  4. Place loose or skewered prawn on grill

  5. Season to taste with garlic salt w/parsley

  6. Butter top of grill and close

  7. Grill for 1 1/2 to 2 minutes. DO NOT OVERCOOK

  8. Serve hot. Prawns are translucent fresh and white when cooked.

Ginger’s side note: a dash of hot sauce is delicious also!

“Grover Webb of Tanglefoot Ranch uses his hilly farmland to produce pond-raised shrimp, or prawns. Webb has a unique method of processing these creatures. He places the shrimp in ice water, then harvests them as quickly as possible. While Webb faces many challenges during harvest, he says he’s happy with his decision to explore this pioneering venture in aquaculture.     March 18, 2011
